Who we are

Franklin Revolver & Rifle Association is a private gun club and shooting range located on Buckwheat Road across from the pond in Franklin Borough, New Jersey.

Our 25 Yard Range consists of a hybrid setup of 24 covered shooting ports with stationary outdoor targets, several ports can be used for close-range shooting and qualifying. In the winter the firing line is

enclosed and heated which allows our range to be open year-round. We also have a soon-to-be-open outdoor 50-75-100 Yard Range.

We boast a family of over one hundred and fifty active members and we're always welcoming more!

Members gather on a Sunday morning to hone their skills or participate in some friendly competition at the bullseye target leagues for handgun and .22 rifle. On the third Sunday of every month Precision Matches are held in place of the leagues. For those who want something different a Combat Pistol Match is held on the first Saturday of every month. Nonmembers are welcome to attend these events.

In May we host our annual ‘May Match’, a competitive shooting match that attracts a large number of shooters from the area, and in

September we have the ‘John Heller Memorial Match’.

On Tuesday evenings during July and August a Junior Rifle Program is held for all youth 12 years of age and older. This program is a community service event and there is no cost to attend.

Several times a year we sponsor another community service event for adults called "Girls, Guys, & Guns", where the public is invited to spend an afternoon learning firearm safety and some hands-on shooting at the range.

Monthly meetings are held once a month in our comfortable clubhouse where we also get together several times a year for a potluck meal to enjoy each other’s company and cooking skills.

Our Objective

The object of FR&R shall be the encouragement of organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens as to the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship.

It shall be our further object and purpose to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, and self-reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship, and the foundations of true patriotism.
